A lot of people have used an ALH pump on a 1Z or AHU engine, but I don't think anybody has used a 1Z pump on an ALH engine.

The electrical connections are the easy part, it's the mechanical issues that will cause you trouble.

The 1Z pump has a 50mm dia. nose while the ALH pump has a 68mm dia. nose. This means the mounting bracket will need to be modified. It is not too difficult to drill a hole larger, but it is a bit of a challenge to make it smaller.

Plus the 1z pumps are less common.

For the snout size, you could have a adapter bushing made from the 50mm to 68mm. Adjustment would have to revert to moving the pump rather than the sprocket.

Given that the ALH pumps are much more common, and somewhat cheap, why make the switch?
