Default 97 passat tdi what kind of oil?

travel about 200 miles a day with a heavy foot.what kind of oil is best and how long in between changes car has 125k

This question is answered in the TDIFAQ easily accessable at the top of the page. Its list of accecptable oils is accecptable for your passat, which is the same as any other TDI. any of the oils listed will perform the job well. Any difference in the oils is so small that youll never notice. however as the FAQ states, synthetic is definently best.

so read the FAQ, like the post at the top of the subject says!
