TDI 2.5", 3" stainless turbo back exhaust, 1.8T downpipes, 17/22 turbos, egr blockoff

I have been working with an exhaust manufacturer on getting fair priced, free flowing, bolt-up exhausts for our MK4 TDI's. I am in the Toronto, Canada area. Shipping is available. Pipe is 409 stainless steel mandrel bent. Muffler and resonator are straight through design. This is not a copy of anything out there, we designed this to have as little bending as possible and fit with no clearance issues. Manufactured in Canada from North American steel.

Also, is there a taper on the inlet where the downpipe meets the turbo? Or does the pipe start with a 2.5" right at the turbo?

The downpipe ends in the factory connection location.

The 2.5" is not tapered, but it is ovaled a bit to fit between the turbo studs.

I am assuming the muffler delete pipes have the stock locations for the hangers? If so color me interested!

I'm interested in the 2.5" downpipe w/resonator. How does it attach to the stock rear section?

I have a nifty little adapter piece which connects it up nice and clean. You can add a catback section easily later if you decide to.

$20 for the 2.5" to stock adapter. All clamps are included. Eliminates the factory style 'clamp'.

If you have any questions, or are looking for something, please ask. Every system is custom built to order. There are many different combinations and setups I can do, catalytics, resonators, mufflers, turndown, through valence, under valence, almost any setup.

I am waiting for my down pipe to disintegrate so I can tell the wife I need to buy a new one. At that time I will end up getting an entire system. I wish I lived where there were more TDIs so I could hear the difference in the exhaust tunes. I have been thinking about 2.5" with one resonator. I do not want any drone while driving. I have enough of that with my 455 with the dual 3" set up. I do not think I can get too loud as I am used to the 455, but I don't want in cabin resonance. Does it matter on the tone or the drone where the resonator is placed? At the DP or in the tail section?

I can send you some pics of a broken downpipe and you can tell her it's yours.

If you are concerned about drone, on a Jetta I would recommend 2 resonators, one in the downpipe and one at the back. You would be very happy with it.

What sort of catalytic converter is included with the 2.5" kit? Magnaflow high-flow, by any chance?

Our catalytic converters are custom made to our specs in the USA. They are not Magnaflows or anyone elses, it would be impossible to ensure quality. The only true high flow catalytics are metallic, which are also almost indestructible. Prices for both updated in the first post.

I'm interested in the 3" straight pipe with no cat. I currently have an 02 alh sedan and was looking at upgrading to a 17/22. I was wondering if it will bolt up to both the stock turbo and to the 17/22 when I plan on upgrading. Also this is a full kit right? Clamps and all included?

My suggestion would be to go with the 2.5", it is more than big enough for a 17/22, yes it will bolt up to your stock turbo and the 17/22, all clamps and hardware included. A full turbo-back 2.5" would be $570 with no resonators.

Hey sorry for the late reply and the "newbish" to follow question.

What is the point of the 3" is it just for bigger turbos?

I'm wondering if the 2.5" sounds any different? (The 3" being deeper tone maybe?? ) I heard a local guy with the 3" and I love the way it sounds.

I'm interested in the 2.5 from the turbo back.

Is there a combination of resonators and/or mufflers that's quieter than stock in the cab? I've long since given up on a loud exhaust being music :)

Nothing will be quieter than stock, but I can get 90% there. What turbo are you running?
