Anyone know if the new VW SUV is going to be offered here in the states with the TDI?

Not sure yet. I've heard both yes and no. The yes side of the argument says that they will because the emissions on trucks are much more lax here than on cars. The no side of the argument says they won't because the demand and fuel quality is not here. I guess we'll see soon. Has anyone else heard any more recent info?

The only thing I have heard is that the V10 TDI will be towards the top in trim packages, meaning it will be expensive, probably over $50k, maybe even as much as $60k.
I used to work for the company (SMB) that made the mold for this engine. Unfortunately, this was finished long before I was there. As was the Golf bumper.
It would have been cool to be able to say that I worked on that!

Isn't there a smaller 5 cyl TDI available in the new SUV too? Maybe I have gas in my head but I thought I read that in one of the articles.
