Sounds like a good deal to me, with certain reservations:
1) probably the timing belt needs changing. If there isn't great documentation noting that EVERYTHING related was done and done correctly, then consider this service will be a requirement as soon as you get it.
2) paint isn't cheap.
3) any rust? Any at all?
4) what does the exhaust look like? Repairs here aren't easy nor cheap.
5) what is the repair and/or accident history of the car?
6) in general, what will be needed? Is the seller just tired of the car, afraid of possible repairs, afraid of known current needs and how hard it would be to fix that stuff - knowing the seller's reasons for selling will go a portion of the way to discover the true workload in purchasing the car and getting it to where it is a good daily driver.
The upside is that in your part of the country, rust isn't nearly the problem that it is up here in mine.
Cheers,
PH
