Hello all you 3.0L Gen 2 experts
I had my emission fix this week 2013 Touareg , and when I went to pick it the Parking Brake Default alarm is on ... They say its electrical $800 to fix VW says not their issue ???? Dealership saying same thing
Has this happen to others ??? ...When updating the software is it possible it has triggered an electrical default???

anything can happen when a car is in a dealers hand, there have been a rash of dead batteries after 2.0L fixes, my guess the dealer didn't do a trickle charge and failed an already weak battery.

BTW this was why VW never moved the Treg in mass numbers.

Have you got a trickle battery charger? Try charging the battery and see if it holds. Cold weather, car sat outside, etc.
