FS: 2003 Jetta 1.9 TDI, 5-Speed manual, $1500/bo

Posting for my pop, but the car used to be mine... and I'll get more details over the next few days.

170k miles, aftermarket suspension/wheels, interior stock.

Fair condition, runs well, but there's some sort of issue where the check engine light does come on, and he just doesn't want to deal with it anymore.

PM if interested. I'll try and get pics/etc over the weekend.

Its located near Redwood City, CA - Prefer local.

Ha, and all that stuff in the sig - was on the car at one time. They changed the laws in CA to make it need to be smogged, so its pretty much back to stock, but still has the VNT17 and PP520's, and I think was downgraded to RC2 tune.

Car has 158k miles, not 170k.

The CEL was a bad MAF, it as been resolved.

passed smog about 10 days ago.

Also found all the non emission stuff (pipes, FMIC, custom made intake manifold)... Which made the car beastly, but completely un-smoggable.

Going to try and post pics after this. I certainly have them.

Note, CEL was cleared, clearly passed smog, and for some reason is back on, but my Mac's VM died, so I can't seem to get VAG-COM going .. Which means I can't read that cell. I suspect its a temp sensor, but really just a guess from my notably horrible memory.

Meh, pics not particularly "pretty" with the thumbnails, but they seem to be clickable and get the job done.

Assuming I get a buyer, the FMIC/intake/etc goes with the car unless you really don't want it. IF not, I'll sell them separately. God only remembers what I paid for all that stuff, but I'm pretty sure its more than the asking price for the car

Ugh, I didn't really need to see/hear this. Lack of taking one's own pics, sadness.

TDI community is pretty tight knit. Sad indeed.

I just saw that car on CL. What a markup!!!
Anyway, the car is in my town if anyone wants me to check it out for them.

Doesn't even look like he bothered cleaning it up. Craziness.
