My beloved full-size Montero was t-boned yesterday and declared a total today. Sigh.
We have another TDI in-house (a JSW 6M) and are very happy with it...yet to be bitten by any of the known bugs. So the big TDI is on the list of possibilities.
The Monty did get some light off-road that I'd like to ask about...primarily deep sand beaches. How does the VW drivetrain perform in loose stuff? Can the ground clearance be improved at all? I know there's an air suspension option, which just sounds like stuff to break to me.
Gen 2 2010+ is what I want, yes? What else should I know? Just starting my research...
