that was the first option indeed... but not possible...
the face for the oil feed / return is very close to the
outer diameter of the backplate...

I think you can make the flange deeper towards the center of the turbo.. and less wide.

with 3.0mm gap the wheel is free, even with the axial play pushed towards the compressor housing...

the VZK housing has a 3.1mm gap... a piece of lead placed over a 3.0mm
drill bit is almost cut in half...

so putting the VL piece into the VZK housing at the same level as the
VZK should do the trick...

anybody interested in a set of used Bosio 1287+ complete injectors?
if not... I will trade them in on the OEM nozzles that have been fitted...

I can not say if there is a difference between stock and dbillas...
the cams were fitted as part of a larger upgrade, with turbo, injectors and such...

Looking good!

Personally if Id gone through all this effort I would have made the entrance bellmouth shaped as well without the sharp edge :) but maybe im just too much of a perfectionist sometimes :p

there is still time Ruben :p
perhaps it will be smart to remove the edge to prevent
possible whining noises...

I would have thought you guys would react to the 51 Chevy in the back...
in Holland ;-P

same as I have now with some added low down torque...
so better spool and less surge below 2000 rpm...

the modified turbo will be balanced by the end of next week...
when it's ready I can make an appointment at VVT to
fit the turbo, make the hybrid electronic actuator and
EGT sensor / limiter work...

hmm, ok.. still hard for me to believe stock inj make this kind of power.. on a trustable dyno I once made 225 hp at 38deg smokefree wth 2056vk.. more duration did not really made any reasonable amount of more power, if one would say 235hp with crazy duration it might be possible but 260hp, crazy

taking the car up to VVT tomorrow !!

on another note...
anybody seen this before ?

I thought that the braking performance of my car wasn't up to
the standard it should have, looking at the specs...
The bite was good, the subsequent braking was not... felt like
the discs were gliding past the pads...

front:
Cayenne 6 piston 17Z calipers
S4 bigger mbc with double booster
330x32 Brembo discs for the Volvo V70R
Ferodo DS2500 pads

rear:
S4 OEM calipers
300x22 zimmerman discs
Brembo HP2000 pads

took the brakes apart last saterday...

left disc:

same issue on the right...

switched to the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads I ran before...
these don't bite as much, but DO keep braking after the initial bite...

I now also have the hawk hps 5.0 pads. Theyre good but not better than the mintex pads i ran before and they're double the price. Only thing i can notice is that there seems to be less brake dust.

try the EBC redstuff. once they are hot, your glasses will fall of your face when you are braking. i used this with the EBC Turbo Groove disc. also no black dust after braking.

on my b7 with the standard rs4 calipera and 365 discs I have always used ebc yellowstuff they are not as good from cold but it takes a little as 4 times to step on tbe brakes and they will brake properly when they are hot .. you can notice the difference when going 180 km/h .. also you can easily predict when you will stop after you get used to it ..

Untill the frictions fall off the pads. And that seems to happen quite often. EBC is no good for street use.
