New Golf on Order!

My dealer guy went and ordered a 2006 Golf for me--kind of on speculation that I'll buy it (and I probably will).

It's a 2006 Candy White GLS with ESP, cold weather package and all the toys.

So now I'm deciding which kid needs my '03 2 door GL (blue, a.k.a 'bluefish') or if either should get it. Normally we hand down cars to the kids in our own family recycling effort. Why trade them in and get screwed when you can give them to one of your own?

Redfish (our '03 GLS that's red) will be staying with us.

Is this the new Golf version 5? I thought I read somewhere that they wouldn't be available with a TDI engine until June or something. If it's the old Golf...why?
