my drivers window is coming loose from the regulator. the regulator goes down, the window stays put. but once you get the window down and unseated from the weatherstripping, it's fine. are there any easy fixes for this?
2003 jetta, power windows.
thanks!

Pull the inside door panel find the two large rubber plugs, remove them and slowly lower the window till you see the two screws (one fore and one aft). I don't remember the torx bit just tighten them. I think an 03 model has the new clips.

If you have the new clips (full metal ones). You can tighten them. The VW fix for this is applying epoxy and glueing the window to the clips.

If its the old clips (half metal, half plastic) then replace them with the new clips as the the glue that once held them together has failed and your window will soon fall into the door and then you had better hope it's not raining.
