Please provide some suggestions.
Our Jetta TDI went from running fine to losing power and won't rev over 2,200 RPM.
3 hrs into a 4 hr drive our 2004 Jetta started losing power and after about 15 minutes would not rev over 2,200 RPM.
Engine was rebuilt about 6 years ago after the PO experienced a broken timing belt.
We have only put about 35,000 miles on the rebuild and it has always started and ran just fine.
We had it towed to Harrisonburg VA and replaced the fuel filter which had no effect.
Then towed to a reputable shop in Charlottesville VA.
The shop cleared the codes and none have reappeared and are now clueless as to the cause.
Cat was gutted by PO.
