Wiper Problems/Need Help!!

My wipers on occassion would be slow starting but would work fine once they started going and then today they just quit? Thinking it could be the wiper motor would anybody know which motors are interchangable with mine on my 95 Jetta?? Thanks.

Same thing happened to my 00 Jetta TDI last fall. They got slower and slower till they finally quit. It was a gearbox in the wiper setup, not the motor, and cost around 75 cdn if I remember right.

Ya your right! I just fixed it. What I done was spray some WD-40 in the socket along with some graphite while the arm was turning until everything losened up. Works fine now. I had the same problem years ago on my 90 Jetta, I guess they never adressed the problem! Thanks for the reply.
