Converted B5 passat, disabling ASR light

Hello everyone, I've been trying to google this for a while now, and can't seem to figure it out. I'm the kind that read hundreds of pages here on different topics and I only post if I have to.
I don't know if it matters but the car had a v6 atq + auto, now it's an avg + 6 speed. Abs works good, ASR warning light is on all the time. I was told that these tdi setups never had asr, so I just want the light to turn off. I have access to vcds, but I doubt there's a way to disable lights. Coding may not work from what I found, that disables the abs as well which I don't want to do. Do I just simply pull a wire somewhere?

What fault code are you having?

The light means there is a fault code in the ABS module. Probably a coding issue.

Abs: P1848
Ecu: p1619, p1650
Cluster: no faults

Abs: P1848 - Please check DTC Memory of Engine Controller
Ecu: P1619 - Glow Plug Relay (J52): Open or Short to Ground
P1650 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from Instrument Cluster
Cluster: no faults

Any ideas?

Care to post full autoscan?
Maybe the ECU is coded for Automatic transmission?

Seem like you are using an OBD reader of sorts, you really need VCDS to pull ALL the codes.

I used a genuine vag-com, will do a full scan and share it as soon as I can.

It should give you VAG codes, not P codes. Autoscan would help a LOT.

Should I just pull the wire that goes to the light (if there's one)?

in VCDS, go to "Coding" and check the coding helper popup information for those modules:
Engine, ABS brakes, Instruments, Can gateway.

Anything useful there?
Anything mentions automatic or manual transmission?

Also, try changing the ABS coding from current 00012 to 00010.
You might need to use Login function before coding amendment is allowed. See the popup for login code. Or try 07499 if there are no hints.
