Hi folks, I am new to the forum:D .
I am wanting to fit a steering wheel with rear mounted paddles(Left side down shift, right side up shift) to my 06 Jetta TDI DSG. Has anyone done this mod yet. I was asking Rich at OEMPL.US and he referred me to this forum.
I have a Lotus Elise track car as well. It is lightened approx 300lb and has a modified ExigeS engine producing 260whp. The thing is STUPID FAST:eek: .
Is there a way to attach photos to a thread? If so I will send some eye candy shots.

If you already have a multifunction steering wheel it's an easy swap. Contact the first poster in that thread for help.

I gave up researching more because I have a Package 0. You need a new control module in this case and it sounded like it was getting expensive quickly.

I don't have a M/F steering wheel in my TDI. Can I add one with paddle shifters?
You can add a M/F wheel both with or without paddle shifters and it's pretty much plug/play with some vag com magic. This is for mk5 Jetta/Golfs, does not apply to mk4.

Some report that their control module for the steering wheel worked, some did not. Try it and if it doesn't work, just buy the control module that is known to work. There are also old and new style buttons, if you buy a used wheel, try to get the new style. All is explained in the above link.
