Hi my I am from Roanoke Va, my 03 Jetta 1.9 starting to make a whistle noise coming from the back of the engine it seams to be the turbo bearing and I am not sure what this means. Do I need a new turbo or it is possible to replace the bearing or it could be something else causing the noise? Is anything else beside the bearing could cause this high pitch noise? Is there anything I should do in case a need replace the turbo like EGR delete or any other maintenance or improvements? The car has 280k mile, I am not sure what maintenance has been done in the car on the past but it seams to be well take care of so far. I appreciate any advice in this matter. Does anyone know a good mechanic in this part of the country?
Thank you in advance
