S177 fuse, why would someone put a 40A in?

This is an MKIV.

Can start the car with a boost but the car will not run without being connected to the other car.

Found out that the s177 fuse was a 40A and it was burnt out.

Why would someone replace s177 with a 40A?

I don't know, but it sure would burn out fast

Replace it with the correct fuse if there isn't a fault in the circuit.

The car was used and was bought around 3 months ago. The car ran for 3 months like this. kinda crazy that it burnt out now.

It need to be 150A.looks like some one had no idea what they were doing.
