I mean I bet you could prob swap your Leather onto my old rear seats. Hell, I might even have an entire car shortly and you can swap the 4-way climatronic in too. ;)

Touareg lost it's grill on the highway on the way to Helen, Ga this past weekend. Treated it to a Tail of the Dragon trip on the way home though. Also got brakes back from powder. Playing around with decals. And always, towing pics. Clint beat me to the dragon photo. The one I posted apparently I am pulling a bit of passenger tire on the passenger side.

Anyone have an extra Chrome Touareg grill?

V10 grills are hard to find - we looked for months before finding one for a reasonable price.

Have you installed paddle shifters yet? They're super nice on roads like the Dragon. :D

I have not installed paddles, nor looked into it. I probably should though.

I pulled a V6 grill and stuck it on it for now. Keeping my eyes out for a V10 grill. $220ish new isn't awful.

What's the difference between grills?
V10 is all chrome. V6/V8 have black slats. Second pic is my parts Touareg that I snagged the grill from.

It's not all chrome thought... it's chrome on the front with black at the inside of the slats. Many of the crappy aftermarket ones are all chrome.

I ended up getting ours out of Latvia!

Losing the grille and badge [about $300 ex the dealer the last time I checked] is a known issue when someone did not replace the single screw in the centre near the top of the grille after refitting it and also did not press all the croc style clips home along the bottom nor all the tabs along the top.

Well yes, mostly Chrome! Was that on ebay for 140ish? I saw one from Latvia and was wondering if it was OEM. I at least have the emblem now that I can drop into a grill when I find out. Hoping the parts car that is on the way isn't broken but I think i may be.

NoobyT, I am not sure I know if the screw you speak of. I know for sure that mine doesnt have one! The V10 grill had all of the clips on the bottom broken out for whatever reason, it was always kind of loose.

This grill at least fills the void.

You should see a single hole in the plastic at or near the top in the centre of the grille, probably in line with looking through the v of the V on the VW badge.

Find a suitable screw and do the job properly!

Oh, one more thing: a grill is something you cook on, a grille is what you lost!!

Getting technical over here. Although you are correct, I am sure the usage won't hurt anyone as much as some other grammatical errors that drive me crazy. There, The're, Their. ;)

Thanks for the explanation of the screw, I will make that happen when I get home today!

Since Luke forgot about the thread figured I could update it for him.

The Touareg got some love this weekend. Always exited to have @mwhitbread throw some pretty welds my way.

Save those original exhaust tips... they're NLA :)

Did you notice a performance change? I'd read that removing the crossover in the rear muffler can make the truck a little slower.

I did not notice any peformance changes with this. I wondered about it but just went without. I'd honestly say with the tune and deletes its got enough power I'm not sure I would even notice!

Been working on my Teake interior for it. Ran into a few issues swapping everything over. I didn't realize how different things can be when it comes to years. I have two full sets of Teake interior now. One from an 04 V10 and another from an unknown year v8. So far I have figured out both fronts have different airbag connectors than my 06. The v8 seats which are considerably nicer ended up not having the seat occupancy sensors either. Haven't determined my best way to proceed...

Rear seats are different as well, but made them work. Seat belt buckles aren't quite the same but will be fine and latches are different. Also noticed the door cards are different. The ones I installed have air ducts that looks like would have come out of the dash them into the B pillar. Now just magic tubes in my car that go nowhere...

Apparently I need to take a video. You're one of many to ask!

Owain, what's an update to my tune for hybrid turbos and colt cams gonna do for me for this thing?!

I am not planning on paying. If you use Chrome or Firefox there is a plugin fix for that.
