How much are you paying for Dealer Timing belt change?

For my next service I have to get my timing belt changed on my 2000 TDI, 5 speed.
I want to do it all, tensioner etc.

PLEASE note the currency, Canadian or Otherwise!

The reason I ask is that my dealer told me $400.00 Canadian everything included, can this be right?!

sounds awful low. Parts alone are probably more than half of that.

In Finland that operation costs between 1700 and 2800 FIM --> about 400 - 670 Canadian dollars, including also belts for the air contioner and the charger... that's the price for Passat TDI 66kw 1997 B5 (Engine is lengthwise located)

They said that it takes 3 hours, because they must unmount a bit stuff to get hands between.

Sounds about right, Belleville Volkswagen charges $399.95CAD and that includeds a new tensioner.
