Swap all the things

Mk4 to MK2 TDi-M swap question (super noob). I would like to swap everything I possibly can from '03 Jetta into my '92 Diesel Jetta; this means swapping in the full dash and I will be adding an aftermarket fuel tank in the trunk.

With this scenario, why would I need the CE2 wiring at all. Couldn't I just make the mk4 wiring work for evrthing?

Well I'm not sure everything will fit, the body is not the same size so the dash is assumably to long and mounting points are different. I believe even the seats are to big as the width is at least 6" narrower.
