2012 TDi, What do I need to know?

Hello out there,
Always been a Golf fan, grew up in the UK where I had 3 Mk1 GTi's and a Scirocco. It's been a few years now since those days, currently driving Subaru's, however, I really really want a Golf TDi. I have found a 2012 TDi at the local VW dealer all fully serviced as it should be with 89,000km's. This would be my first time to own a TDi, can you kind people please tell me what I should be making sure has been checked and or needing replacing at this age and mileage.

IMHO, biggest potential problem is the HPFP. Research all you can , and decide whether you can live with the risk

Thanks miningman, yup, I have read enough these last few days about the disasters of the HPFP and the DSG's I don't want to enter into that game of Russian Roulette! The 2012 I was looking at getting at the dealer here had a warranty but things never happen during that period!!

Vdubs don't appear to be what they used to be, I owned 3 Golf GTI's back in the 80's never any trouble, never ever.

Not sure he's still making these...but solid protection for the HPFP issues
