Question Fixed my glow plug wires and now my car is shutting off after starting...

So I found this:

I fixed where the wires to the harness were burnt in half. I checked the resistance levels of all my glow plugs and they are showing within tolerance.

After this fix my car seems to fire right up after letting the glow plugs heat one time. It starts and runs for about 5 seconds and shuts off! Then when I let the glow plugs heat again and try to start it again, it takes a really long time and is really hard to start. I usually have to try it three times before it starts again. Almost as if the glow plugs are not heating at all.

What in the world could this be?

I'll try to get a video of it happening tomorrow so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

Hard to tell based on your description, but given your picture it might help to know what all the non-factory blue and green wires are for, and what repairs have been done to the factory harness on the left hand side of the picture...using blue Scotchloks?
