Interesting build. Why not keep the 2.5 tdi? Seems like it would be easier to make the power with bigger displacement.

That's pretty close to my calculations made 12 years ago here:

I assume lambda 1.25 though for less smoke, which is the main reason for the higher boost pressure in my calculations (PR=5.86) and I assume volumetric efficiency of 80% at peak power developed @ 4750 RPM and BSFC of 235 g/kWh.

I used 6bar map sensor from truck ;)

For now project is dissambled and will no longer putted together as there isn't so much time for that any more, but maybe with another car will hit 400hp mark, as i was close with that before.

Too bad ! I was expecting big things with that b5, for some reason I have a soft spot for them as it’s a good blend of handling and comfort in a smallish package !

Comfort is good, but car is to heavy and have small room for big turbos, intercoolers etc.

Wow I have been waiting for the post to say the 400 bhp mark was his. So just the lift pump was holding you back for the 400 goal??

i did my own wiring harness using passat pd harness + VE pump harness. i was NOT aware that A6 comes with EDC15VM+ from the factory with the right plugs to fit B5!! Just make sure the car youre working it on is +97 with not the round plugs, but the normal looking plugs in the cabin side.

Yep, in Europe it’s easy to find b5 a4/Passat and c5 Audi A6 with the edc15vm Ecu and the right plug and play wiring loom…
