I’ve recieved a hybrid turbo from xmn turbos I never usually
Go hybrids always stock but I’ve heard no bad things about his turbos and as mine gave up the ghost seemed like a nice easy bolt on upgrade
Now I have the turbo goto my local turbo tuning specialists who I’ve known
Personally for years and he’s made me second guess the whole thing
He says sometimes these turbos just don’t run correctly or as nice depending on who’s Done the work , ok fair enough , but then he said the level of play
In the shaft is more than he’s seen on some turbos that have already gone
, he showed me a few , so I guess he’s made me paranoid that my turbo will
Last 2-3 weeks instead of 2-3 years anyone experienced fair amount of play in a brand new unit
You would think to run more boost and higher levels of tune you would need even tighter tolerances not less , but I don’t build turbos so haven’t had loads to test
The level of play is quite a bit
Only one I can liken it too is my bmw I remember had slightly less play but had
on over 40,000,
Just don’t know enough about hybrids and tolerances
So could anyone help or ease my concerns I’ve tried putting some oil in to see if it tightens up but still feels the same ��
