Starts and immediatelly dies (GolfIII)

Hi! I have '95 Golf 3 1.9tdi 66kw. I recently started having problems when starting up the engine. It starts up good, but as soon as I release the key back (from last starter position or whatever) it dies. I can keep it running, if I add some throttle and release the key, that way it almost dies, but eventually will stay running. I also noticed when I turn the ignition on that glowplug light turns on only very short time and that oil pressure light keeps blinking. If anyone have had similar problems or has any idea what might be cause then your help would be appriciated.

Have you replaced the ignition switch? Any codes?

Gonna have to agree with Todd on this one. My first choice would be ignition switch given the symptoms yours is displaying.

Ignition switch contacts were burnt. Replacing it helped, thanks.
