Hi All,

Yesterday my blower motor started acting strangely. You turn the heater on high the motor spin right up and blows fine. Then in about 3 minutes you hear it slowwing down and start making a woof woof woof sound as it continues to slow. If you turn it off and immediatly turn it on it will not go on. If you wait 30 seconds and turn it on it will go on and start the whole process all over again. I took out the cabin filter and watched it. No squealing at any time.

Thanks

some blowers have a problem when its cold and make a howling sound, you need a new blower. the bearings are bad, the new ones dont do it

Had a similar problem last year...replaced blower motor, and fan control switch before finding that the wiring harness that goes from the blower control panel to the blower was shorting out on the vertical dash supports that are on either side of the center console.

Right now sounds like a blower motor bearing problem, but check the wiring harnesses when you are looking for problems.
