U.P. Michigan TDI mechanics.

Hi club members anyone on here know of any club members or mechanics in the U.P. of Michigan that can finish a cam job on my daughters 2006 jetta. She is a student up in Marquette Mi. She took her car to a local mechanic and part of the job is done but he is over by 5 hours going by the book. I think he wants to cut his losses. I live in S.E. Wisconsin. I will going up to get the car the weekend of July 7th to bring it back home I would rather leave it up there if possible to get the work finished.

The UP is a great and unique place. Before my wife passed our retirement goal was to move to Munising. Well, that's not gonna happen. I knew then that in the UP you better just drive a Ford pickup. The closest VW dealer is in Escanaba. I know this doesn't help you. I would just bring the car back home if I was you. Now maybe there might be a UP TDI guru that might be available but I doubt it. There are not many or any in northern WI either.
