I live in Calgary, Alberta. I've been driving VW diesels since 1987. I've also had a few Mercedes diesels. Current one is an 07 R320. I have two 05 Passat TDI's. I've driven one since new and it has 340,000 km on it. I had given it to my son for a while but now have it back. While he had it, I found a second one that was identical and drove it until the transmission went and I didn't think it was worth fixing. I now have a very handy parts car!!
I've also owned a 51 Willys truck since 1980 - it's drive train was getting kind of tired. So since I had a good TDI motor, I googled Jeep TDI and found http://www.cotybuilt.com/ I contacted them and got comfortable with them and that they had done what I was thinking about many times. It helped that they are fellow Canadians!
So I'm well into putting the TDI into my 51 Willys truck. As I progress with getting the motor wired and plumbed I may need some help. I can sense that there is lots of expertise here!!
