Auxillary heater

The 06 Jetta PD's have a electric heater in the heater box. It has a PTC element,has a100a fuse inthe box at the battery.It is scanable in 7D ,YOU can do an output and value block readings with vag-com.So if you wondered why cabin warmed up fast this is why.Not mentioned in owners manual, or service info.Another VW suprise

Yeah, it's been talked about here alot... I want to know if the updated beetles have it. I ask because the beetles have A5 electronics on an A4 chasis... This would make this a feasable option for upgrade for all of us freezing A4 chasis owners. on the other hand though, it's starting to warm up... ohh well.

Yup,the 2006 Bugs have the updated heater.I was amazed when I first got the car at the begining of March.Temps were down to 23F and I was impressed at how fast the interior warmed up,it only takes a couple of minutes and you have decent heat available,the heated seats are nice too.
