My left rear door's fails to inform the rest of the car that it's open. As a result, the dome light doesn't go on
and on occasion, the alarm goes off when it is open, because the darn thing doesn't always lock with the rest of the doors. What's going on here? Is it a connection and if so, where if the plug/socket located for the door?

Mine also does this. But my micro switch was not defective, it just got stuck in the open circuit position. Because of its location in the door latch, dirt can accumulate at the top of the switch. If I kicked the door when it was open, the switch would work. So I sprayed a buch of contact cleaner under the latch and it seemed to work. I now have an interior light when I open the door. But I only did this on the weekend, so no long term results to report. I will post pictures later of how I did it.
