build date question? sticker or vin?

If you open the drivers front door there should be a sticker on the pillar. The build date should be on that.

Actually, on my '09 the sticker with the build date was on the horizontal part of the driver's door frame at the bottom of the door. I pretty much had to sit on the ground to get a good luck at it. If you know someone who works at a VW dealer, they can plug your VIN into their computer and find out the exact build date (see my sig).

Ah, they moved it. It used to be on the B pillar, next to teh door latch post.

my engine has a build date on the TB cover. might find some info there to. mines 7-7-99. cars 11-99
