You may recall my tale of woe from another thread "Help TDI won't start".
After exhausting that thread and getting the car to start again, I'm right back where I was before I started monkeying with the car, so let me try another tack...
- 2002 Golf TDI (ALH) 1.9 w/upsolute chip done about a year ago.
- 69K miles on original belt, which looks good.
- Car starts and idles at ~900 RPM.
- With any additional throttle, it'll go to 1400 RPM max and no more.
- Dash lights: flashing glow plug sensor (brake switch is OK) and check engine light.
- ODBII codes: P1248 and P1562
Things I've done to troubleshoot the problem...
Drained and cleaned tank (had some old BD in there that smelled like paint).
Drained the fuel lines.
Replaced the fuel filter.
Replaced the injectors (PP520's).
Cleaned the intake manifold.
Replaced starter motor and battery.
Verified operation of anti-shutter valve, coolant temp sensor, fuel shutoff solenoid.
No, I don't have a VAG-Com, but if anyone is local to Cherry Hill, NJ, I'll buy you a case of your favorite beer if you want to stop by and check it out
