you can get the GTD steering wheel from ECS tuning
Problem with that is most junkyard cars have deployed airbags. That's gotta be pretty expensive (+airbag). My only reasonable option would be junk yard. The good news is there's probably at least few GTI/GLI between here and Seattle
Only saw 1, no airbagYou need to look on ebay.de...
i did. DSG paddle shift Black stitching.Aaron at Bora in Gresham? Did you do paddle shifters?
Really?! Well I guess I'll give Aaron a call then
Was it plug-n-play? Use your original airbag? Vcds coding pretty easy?
Also, where did you get that interior?! Looks amazing!
Thanks for the help!
There are a gazillion of them... http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-GOLF-6-SC...del:Golf+VI&hash=item3f244ed89b#ht_500wt_1396Only saw 1, no airbag
If you use the Chrome browser it can auto translate web pages on the fly for your tooDidn't even think to translate. I'm new to the whole ebay.de thing
Thanks for that breakdown . Now I know its possible, albeit a little expensive and complicated. I like knowing you sold your old wheel to cover half the cost. I did the same when I upgraded to my ANS-810.I needed a harness and an airbag in order to make the switch. I was able to source an OEM airbag from a place in Houston for $160. The wheel cost me $475. and the harness was $35. The whole thing was $670 with shipping.
I sold my old steering wheel for $350. Made out pretty good
Thanks for the compliment. Interior is Katzkin.
http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=269700So the seats, arm rest, door cards, etc.,were just recovered in katzkin? Looks so good. How much for that? You got a build thread? Now I'm curious what else you've done
