Hello All, I have a 2006 Jetta TDI with the beige leatherette interior. In the rear center seat, there is a console/armrest that folds down. The console has a lid on it, and the latch to my lid is broken. A few questions:
(1) Can this console/armrest be broken down and repaired? Specifically, can the lid be removed and replaced?
(2) I went to the dealer; the man at the parts department said that they and every other dealership were no longer selling the console ("no longer in their system"). Does anyone know where I might find a replacement console (other than a wrecking yard)?
(3) If anyone has a rear center console with beige, leatherette upholstery, I would be interested in purchasing it.
