Turn in of my damaged '14 JSW is scheduled for Dec 13. 2 yrs + since accident, 20 months since limbo began, 7 months after filing with the CRC (to zero response), I'm going to get the d*** thing out of my garage and take the restitution money, and VW can go pound sand.

Operable now means that it has to be able to be registered and driven on the road. Which it probably always meant--regardless of what the settlement document said. (and regardless of what some of you guys claim. I'm not a dealer, I'm not someone who is flipping vehicles. I'm just a guy who had bad luck in November 2016 and been exhausted by the process.)

It's been interesting. This will be my last post.

you are really gonna stick it to VW. Kept it in your garage for 2 yrs just to rack up that extra money by lowering your miles.

You must sleep like a baby each night!

If you have a buyback offer already, no current reg is needed.
