‘13 Q7 with 127k on the clock.

6 gal DEF tank, invoice shows 5 gal added during the fix. ~3,000 miles later the 1000 mile AdBlue warning appeared. Dropped it at the dealer to have them diagnose camshaft chain/tensioner rattle at startup (of course they couldn’t reproduce) They added 5 gals of DEF, no charge (per settlement). Service advisor seemed to agree any camshaft chain/tensioner problems *should* be covered under extended warranty.

5 gal of DEF per 3k, that might get annoying.

Hey, at least you don’t have to lift the cargo area and spare tire to refill yours, like those with the Touareg :)

They did refill it no charge and no mention or question of “bewteen service intervals” as the settlement reads.

Normal driving cycle is 10 mile trips with a weekly 40 or so mile trip and it’s still well below freezing here, so not ideal for efficient operation of the emissions system. It regens way more often now too.

After the emissions compliant repair is done the longer of and running concurrently....10 years/120k or 4years/48k...so in your case 10y/120k. Included are long block, turbo, emissions components, fuel system, and some other things I’m forgetting off the top of my head. Mine with almost 130k is starting to make some timing chain noise. Let’s hope that’s covered under “LONG BLOCK”
