You can re-use all of them from the automatic except for on of the starter bolts. You need a longer bolt for the upper one which is part # N-904-956-04

Thanks VWZTips,

I'm also trying a USP Clutch line USP012CL2
To hopefully make the clutch line install easier.

Assuming the Trans mount brackets mentioned above are used, so that the sub-frame doesn't need to be swapped, and the Auto, sub-frame can be used.
Can the Trans. Mounts (the rubber pieces) from the auto transmission be used?
Or do different trans. mounts need to be used, like from a B5 V6 Manual?

I know I'll be short some parts, but Just trying to get all the big stuff.

If the original Trans. mount from the Auto can be I may replace them anyway if they're looking in bad shape, which they might at 185k miles.

Thanks all.

You can use the same mounts from the auto. I prefer the mounts from Audi A6/AllRoad as they seem to help reduce vibrations.

You need the left transmission mount bracket from a V6 manual application 8D0-399-113AG. The right bracket is used on both 1.8t and V6 manuals (8D0-399-114S)

The right side transmission mount bracket is the same even for the automatic transmission. I reused the entire passenger side bracket and mount when I swapped to a to manual. My driver side came from a manual V6 Passat.

So I'm a bit confused about the trans Mounting brackets needed. to keep my existing subframe.

on VWdirectparts.com and ECS tuning
for a B5 passat V6 manual transmission. the trans mounting brackets are
8D0 399 113AG for the Left and
8D0 399 108R for the right.

So it seems clear to me that for the Left a 8D0 399 113AG is needed, good.
but for the left, is a 8D0 399 108R needed?
Is a 8D0 399 114S neeed, which I'm finding hard to find...
Is my existing Right trans mount bracket ok, which is 8D0 399 108AP
According to VWdirectparts.com

VWZtips, I sent you a Priveate message...

Thanks
Dan

When i did my swap i used the v6 transmission and the attached mounting brackets. Like most of the rest of you the tranny mounts were cracked, every passat ive pulled apart they have been cracked.

I just pulled all the parts from tbe v6 donor car and tossed them into my tdi.

Please post pictures of all these parts. Only listing the part numbers is too much work to cross reference.

Thanks all,
My conversion is done and as others said these transmission brackets did work.
I didn't verify if the 8D0 399 108R would have worked. I was in a last minute scramble to get these, and get it done, so I ended buying them from the dealer.
Left - 8D0 399 113AG
Right - 8D0 399 114S

Incidentally, I have an extra 8D0 399 114S Right Trans bracket, from my swap, if anyone needs it.

Thanks,
Dan

Working on getting things swapped over, is this what's meant by pilot bearing "flush with end of crank" or should i have it fully inserted?

Also do I need the thin shim from behind the flex plate?

Thanks!
