Living US, might move back to canada one day

I've been living in the US for about 10 years now and one day I might have to move back.

My wife loves the new VW SportsWagen and the first kid coming in a few days I think it would be a good car. Although I'd like to know if I buy a VW diesel here in Atlanta and bring it back to Canada if I'm going to miss some required "I don't know" for cold weather.

- Engine block heater. I know I can install this after.
- ESP, what is that? I think I head about it not sure if that was for cold weather.

Doesn't mean I'm going to move, but just in case...

Be sure to get heated seats - indispensable in cold weather if you value your comfort since diesels warm up slowly.
ESP - Electronic Stabilization Program - probably nice to have, especially in bad weather conditions.

The "SE" comes standard with heated seat right? All Diesel model supposed to be "SE" as I was told by the dealer.
