Hi I have a 2015 Passat SE TDI AT with remote start. I need a second FOB with the 2X button for remote start. Does any one have a correct part number for that. Can it be replaced as the bottom half of key? And not have to be reprogrammed at dealer for immobilizer? Or does the dealer order complete key cut with remote start? Thanks for your help. I'm getting mixed info from dealer. Thanks LloydW.

Sorry to say, but the VW dealer is just about your only choice for your 2015 Passat.The new 2nd key has to be programmed to your car.
It is programmed using your cars VIN number.
On your keyfob, all the numbers are under the flip key on the plastic case.
Even if you could buy a keyfob and key from somewhere the programming still has to be done by the dealer.
Budget for a few hundred dollars ($ 200.00 -$ 300.00) for that.

I recently had one of the keys for my 2013 stolen from a (valet) parking garage.
Expect to pay about $240-ish total between the key and having the dealer program the car to work with the key. The dealer orders the key from VW using the VIN and the key arrives pre-cut to match the locks. I had to pay for the key when it was ordered.
