Yesterday it was $2.359
Today it was $2.309

$1.77 for RUG, $2.17 for PUG and $1.99 for D at the local Speedway.

Regular unleaded prices have spiked considerably in my immediate area and if they keep it up, regular and diesel will be priced the same again after a long period of gas being lower.

Right now gas is uniformly $2.099 and the competitive diesel shops are $2.119. Of course it's normal for diesel to go up "just because" and some stations have shot up 10-20¢, but I never buy from those places.

I figure this is in anticipation of all the tourists coming in for the annual Shrimp Festival at the beach this weekend. Every year before it starts, gas prices go up and when it's done they go right back down. So much for honest competition, eh? :cool:

I paid $1.92 this morning in Lake Wylie, SC. Rug was $1.82. In comparing to the post above, it really shows the state line effect and 45 miles of distance. For the 14.5 gallons I put in this morning, it would have cost me an additional $9.

In my area: $2.11@gallon for D2 at mass market stores (Frys, Costco, QT, etc) At Shell, $2.13@gallon for D2. Both pumps a few cents more than RUG.

BTW, TDI runs quieter with better fuel mileage on Shell D2.

DD at $2.19 in Goldsboro, NC at BP. RUG stays at $2.04 mark.

This is the smallest difference between RUG and DD.

Gasoline prices have jumped in the Upper Midwest, so diesel is once again the same price or cheaper than RUG at many stations.

Not around here. Diesel has jumped up, as well. Now it's about 20 cents more than regular gas at most stations. $2.59 range for gas and $2.79 range for diesel. Wonder if part of it is the winter blend coming in, if it hasn't already.

Might be. Up the road a bit here in Fondy we're $2.699 diesel $2.449 Reg. Fleet Farm will give you a $.04 discount if you have a receipt coupon.

2.09 for D in Fairfield NJ. D varies up to 2.49 in north NJ. Rug is as low as 1.81, very common in the 1.85-2.00 range
