Default 2012 Passat Dsg No Communication With Instrument Cluster

Hey everyone, I just got myself a 2012 Passat with a dsg. It ran and drove great until a couple days ago I went to start it and almost all the lights on the instrument cluster came on(steering wheel, check engine, airbag, abs, and esp). I went to crank it and it started and died within 2 seconds. After it did this it cranked and wouldn't t start at all. After about 15 minutes all the lights went away and it started and drove fine. I went to start it again today and it is doing the same thing. The code that I pulled is u0155 lost communication with instrument panel cluster control module. I am wondering if anyone ran Into something similar. I think it's either the can system has a bad wire, or the cluster is dead(but why did it work Intermittently)?

Have you tried swapping the battery?

I had these similar symptoms a few months ago and it was because my battery was on its way out. I swapped it out for a new battery and everything went away.

I noticed it first with my power steering acting up then one day all of the dash lights came on.

VWs tend to get really weird when the battery starts going out.
