I installed Chinese headlights a couple of months ago and lately have been getting an error. Tried the OBDII forum with no luck.
The Chinese HID headlights have LED DRL's but they do NOT have left or right front side marker lights. Essentially the DRL's act similar to side marker lights since they wrap around to the side.
Now about 4 weeks after I installed them I am getting the error in the MFD that either or the other side marker light is out. As well as the light out icon in the instrument panel is on. First it was left and now the right light error.
Maybe someone with more knowledge using a VCDS could tell me if there is something to eliminate this error message somewhere in the VCDS settings. Or maybe eliminate the computer from looking for these lights.
