:( Dont think it is HPFP...
I got the flashing glow plug light last Friday and the car went into limp mode ......I turned the engine off and back on...that didn't change anything. I hooked up my Vag Com and got and 00069 Code something about the boost control valve. I reset it
I was on my way to work this morning and it did it again...this time however after I turned it off and back on everything works again....
I am supposed to go on a 500 mile trip next weekend.....so I guess I will call the dealer tomorrow

Not saying this is the problem, but remember if the VNT actuator needs to be replaced, the whole turbo and VNT actuator needs to be replaced as one piece, they can't be ordered separately.

Good luck! are you still under power train warranty?

good luck, maybe it's just a wiring issue and not hardware issue!

They just called and said it was fixed and it was a wiring issue to the N75.....
I will talk to the Tech when I pick up the car

I talked to the tech....The wire wasn't chaffed but it was broken he said maybe 1-2 strands still together he checked the output and it was only putting out 8 Volts....that is why I was getting intermitant outages he fixed it with VW Repair wires and it seems fine now....actually seems to have a little more power

I love this web site!

I love this web site! I drive a 2010 JSW and the glow plug light started flashing and the check engine light came on. So I scan it, get a P0045 code, come to the TDI website and search. It ended up being a broken wire at the turbo actuator just as others have experienced. So off to VW I go to get a replacement plug. One hour and $18 later my car is happy once again. This had to be the quickest and cheapest repair I've ever done on my car!

Obvious broken wire going to the N75, easy access. The wires are too short originally and the tight angle plus vibration makes me surprised they lasted as long as they did. Parts department here was very helpful as always. They gave me 1 plug housing 1J0973722 and one wire "kit" which was a single wire (not sure if it's 16 or 18 guage) and two little seals for the housing. I clipped the still attached wire from the housing, stripped the ends, slid the seals on and some heat shrink tubing, spliced wires, and then popped the connectors into the housing after sliding out the purple connector lock. Be careful you have orientation of the connectors correct when you pop them into the housing. (Just look at the old housing to see). Slide back in the connector lock. I got a little extra freedom for my clumsy hands by moving the vacuum lines off the loom and freeing the N75 from the mount. Super easy and quick.

Thanks Tom,

Did the google and it lead me right here for the 00069 code.

I had uninstalled a bunch of parts unrelated to the engine for my upcoming buyback. Thought I goofed the CANBUS (removed my polar fis!) or something when we went into limp mode the first time driving the car. I got real scared that the HPFP was going out or the turbo! Not before my buyback!!! Literally Right after poaching my aftermarket parts to bring it back to stock.

Was able to limp it home and and scare myself into a frenzy all the way back (we were on our way to Disneyland).

Dropped it off, took the Touareg to Disneyland instead. Got back this evening scanned it and searched Tdiclub. Found this thread.

Looked through my box of wires, found a replacement, unplugged the broken wire and tapped in the replacement. Code cleared, problem fixed! Buyback here we come!

(The wife wants a 7 seater, x5 xdrive35d hopefully.)

Thanks again

Photo of the broken wire on my car, thank you for sharing in this thread. I ordered an actuator when google failed me, turns out forum search was the way to go.
