hey y'all... Despite my google and forum searching, I haven't found a good way to do this, only pictures proving that it's possible. I have a 2006 Golf w/ the full Monsoon treatment, and while I intend to replace everything from head-unit to speakers to amp, for now I just want to put in an aux. I would prefer to do so on the cheap, if possible. I've already pulled the head-unit from the car and it's sitting on my desk. What's the next step?

I did the same thing, but went with the Blitzsafe V.3a. It allowed me to keep my stock CD changer - if I ever want to plug it in. Which I never will ...but whatever.

The V.3a uses the existing CD changer connection, so if the Blitzsafe is plugged in, your changer, by default, must be unplugged.

I have an old VWCDPIC thingy that plugs into the cd-changer input on a MKIV double din Monsoon. I have moved on from the soon to something better.
I have no idea if it will work for your 06, but if you find out that it will, it's yours for the high price of...shipping.
