My Jetta has 225k miles. Recently it started kicking into limp mode regularly under all driving conditions.
VAGCOM error is a low boost. I've smoke tested the vacuum lines and intake. The only smoke noticed was from the relief end of the Exhaust Flapper Solenoid.
I also have done many vacuum test and found no issues until the most recent one. The line from the Exhaust Flapper Solenoid to the ERG cooler will not hold vacuum.
I removed that line to the EGR cooler and capped the Exhaust Flapper Solenoid in an attempt to isolate the issue.
The car drives normal in town. But once on the hwy cruising around 45 mph, the car goes into limp mode.
Could a leak at the flap in the ERG cooler be causing the low boost condition?
