Hello all, here is a fairly complicated and confusing post and question! 
I have a 2013 Jetta Sportwagen TDI. I am getting a comma ai EON and setting my vehicle up for semi-autonomy.
Here is what I need help with. Right now the PQ platform only allows HKA steering commands for 5-6 minutes before throwing a temper tantrum and severing the connection. The MQB VW's and later do not have this issue.
Currently we have a couple options, either disengage OpenPilot for 2 seconds and re-engage to reset this doom count down, or we can try to code for OpenPilot to do this by itself on a straight road.
I want to know if any of you know if we can take the power steering control module out and either delete this hardware lock out time limit or at least change it to something unreasonable like 24 hours?
