getting ready to purchase 2014 manual

We are getting ready to purchase one. wondering what people on the west coast are paying for a manual?

i've actaully found the car we want but haven't talked money yet.

AFAIK there no nav or other options really avail for the manual cars correct?

I see you're from Sac. I paid $22,775 for a '14 manual with no options other than the monster mats and first aid kit at Niello in February. Ask for Darcee, she was great to work with.

The manuals are hard to find though, so in some ways you're forced to work with the dealers that actually have inventory to offer you. I bought mine "off the truck", it didn't sit on their lot for even a day.

Yeah, there are no major options or packages like sunroof, nav, leather, etc. All of those require the DSG.

Most of the cars I came across had the ~$250 extra of the rubber mats and first aid kit, but that's it.

did yours come with backup cam, bluetooth, auto headlights, etc? i thought that was all stuff you couldn't omit even if you wanted.

Yes, I have all those things. You're correct, The manual cars basically come one way. About all you get to pick is color.

sounds like you got a good deal. i'm guess that price included any kind of BS destination charges, etc?

That was the transaction price on the deal sheet for the car, so it included the destination/delivery fee. I believe they charged a ~$100 "doc" fee on top of that, plus of course tax and DMV fees, but that was it.

$22,700 plus TTL is about the best anyone's gotten based on this forum, and may be better than you're able to get now, depending on inventory levels, etc. I paid $23,290 + TTL in WA, and that's better than almost anyone else, based on the thread titled something like, "How much did you pay for your Passat?" I'd say anything under $24k is a pretty good deal, and under $23k is phenomenal. You're stuck with the mats and FAK, since VW requires the FAK in every vehicle, and they also all come with the mats so the dealership doesn't have any cars without mats they could stick them in.

Swung a deal with the local dealer for 24k today.

There is one with black int on a truck enroute to a dealer in Cali

There is another one with the Moonrock int getting ready to be put on a truck to a dealer in Cali

thanks for the help. i hit up every one of them. 2 were sold, one dealer wanted almost MSRP, another wanted MSRP +1000$..lol..

one dealer made me a very fair offer so i took it and ended up putting a deposit on one in So Cal and will be picking it up monday or tuesday.

Landed in Santa Barbara at 8am. The dealership pick me up just before 9 a_m. I was on the road by 945. Thank you santa barbara Volkswagen. To date this has been the easiest purchase I've ever made. I should be home in another three and a half hours. The computer says I'm averaging 44.6 m p g and I've been averaging about 75 mph.
