When I bought my 2006 Jetta TDI over a year ago I was getting between 40-45mpgs, then prices went up and I started to learn some techniques for better mpgs and was getting 45-47. Now that diesel is at a ridiculous all time high I have been tryin to squeeze every last mile out of a tank I was able to get a record tank averaging 52mpg. I cant believe I just filled up for 3.99 a gallon it almost took all the excitment out of getting 759 miles out of one tank of fuel. I was scared I wasnt going to make it to the station and I was going to have to use the gallon I keep in the trunk that I paid 3.33 for meaning I would have to refill it for 3.99, luckily I made it to the station.

Wow getting close to 800! I bet you could pull 800 in better weather:cool:.

My best is 701 on a tank... lol Just made it in to the 700 club.

Although I am sure I will be trying to get the most out of every tank, on a trip to the great white north this weekend...

very very good point. i think everyone who pays to fuel a vehicle is in the same boat.

...off to the store to buy some fuel line magnets. i heard they work wonders...;):D
