Instrument cluster problem

Good morning Tdiclubbers,
Yesterday I managed to snag a sweet instrument cluster from a 2004 Jetta from LKQ. Figured it would be an easy upgrade. I polished the plastic under a drill press and have it looking brand new!

When I install it on my 2004 Golf Tdi (BEW) the engine starts then promptly dies. Did I miss something to get this cluster working for my car?

The new cluster likely has to be coded to your car. The Immob might be preventing it from starting. These will be helpful:

Get in touch with Jetta'97 in Dallas. He can delete the IMMO, but I think he needs both clusters.
