Default WTB; 1.6td or AAZ turbo and manifold.

either is ok, only high mount style wanted, trapezoidal or triangle flange ok. T3 or K14 turbo. Thanks!

nope, quantum turbo mani puts the inlet hose too close to the DS mount, 1.6td and AAZ high mount place turbo above the mount for excellent drainback and clear routing of all hoses. It's the setup i used on my previous 82' westy and made for a super clean factory like install.

bump! 3 bolt manifold from Vilnius has not arrived, did procure a trapezoidal manifold stateside but turbo from tge same seller appears to be lost on the left coast... so, looking for a K14... lmk what ya got

This is the same setup that the PO installed in my 98 Jetta - AAZ from the MAF to the turbo inlet they used the AAZ air intake, and put a manual wastegated K14 - but they opted to go direct to the intake from the turbo outlet and bypassed the intercooler.

They also used the AAZ downpipe.

A bit of fiddling and I have got the intercooler in the circuit again.

They have the k14 boosting to 20-21 psi and used a custom Malone tune with stock nozzles. I will put on a set of PP520's and that will finish off what they started.

I mention all of the above because if you are running with the ECU, you may want to consider a Malone tune.

thanks Andy, i already have an ALH ECM tuned for wastegated turbo and maf delete.
